this year I'll be making the trip out to the playa in my trusty '96 toyota camry, and I was wondering if any of you lovely ladies had some tips on minimizing dust damage. I don't have the budget to buy one of those full on car cover things, but I'm sure there are a bunch of little things I can do to make cleaning the inside of the car a little less of a headache. I am BY NO MEANS expecting to keep the interior of the car completely dust-free. I know the playa well enough to know that I'd be kidding myself to even try. I have heard, though, that stuff like saran-wrapping the vents can cut down on dust pile-up.
So. Suggestions? Comments? how-to's?
thanks much!

Tue, July 21, 2009 - 4:09 PMI wouldn't recommend a full-car cover. Our friends did that and their paint got scoured from dust getting under the cover and then ground into the car in the wind. -
