I put on a few pounds in the last year or 2. I noticed that, besides gaining a cup size, I tend to get a bit of heat rash/chapping under the boobage now, regardless of the weather. 'Bout the only thing that seems to help is powder of various sorts (Gold Bond, baby powder, etc.). Any suggestions for avoiding under-boob-chappage?

If you like the boob site, you will probably like this one too! I highly recommend getting the book or viewing the entire show if you can find it somewhere near you...it's extremely moving.

I thought of you gals tonite.

I went shopping after work and found myself at Marshalls, perusing the aisles for clearance stuff with a burner twist.

Nothing.

So I ended up at the bra rack, sifting through bra after bra, looking at anything with a tag my size (because of course NONE of them are actually sorted by size). I found a few, mostly those new fangled ones that claim are 'seamless'. Sneering at all the 'natural fit' ones (hell, if I wanted to look natural I'd go braless! Hoist those mamas up I say). Pulling every push up I came across. Tossing aside those with wimpy straps, single clasps, scratchy lace and are you kidding me? sheer stretchy cups?

So, I managed to find 11 bras I liked... thinking if 1 out of the bunch works, then I lucked out. Hell, I didn't even look at prices.

The demi's were laughable. Nuff said. Those cool new seamless bras? You know the ones, with the scalloped edges and no stitching? Take a good look... the straps are glued on. Well, I tried on 5 of them. Two of them broke in the dressing room! The strap just popped right off! And they weren't too small... they are just cheaply made bras. That's what you get when you get a bra with no stitching. The one I liked the best was a great deep plunge black number, Marylin Monroe brand (how great is that?)... but I couldn't find my band size. I did try on one size smaller, with care, just to see if it might work. Come to find... this bra is worth searching out at other stores in my size.

The whole time I thought of us. And giggled that each bra I tried on brought with it my own personal boobage issues... do I puff out the sides? Is the band wide enough to harness that underarm roll? Does it support my lopsided left tit? Is there enough padding to keep my nipplitis at bay? Does it lift or flatten? How bout my back fat... does it help or hinder? Does it provide both form and function?

I ended up not buying any of them because none of them really made my boobs happy. And my boobs deserve to be happy. Don't yours?
