Me and my husband want to go to burning man what instrucations can i get brfore we go? where is it too? this is my frist time

    The event is in northern Nevada near the town of Gerlach.
    You must buy tickets in advance, you must bring everything you need to survive for your whole stay, all food, water everything. There are no sales at the event so do not expect to be able to buy more food or water... there is none to buy.
    This is a leave no trace event, which means leave nothing not so much as a bead, button of sequin behind.

      The important thing to realize about this event is that it's in a rather harsh environment and it's a camping trip. When I looked at the OPs profile, I didn't have the idea that you understood what you are getting into.

      You really must read all of the information that has been given to you in the links. Consider the location a blank canvas and you paint on it. The tent that you bring, the coolers, the food, the water - everything for your daily needs, must be brought to the site and removed so that the canvas is blank again.

          Its the most miserable harsh, nasty, dusty, hot, and cold, unpleasant environment you could possibly imagine (and this is from an Arizona born and bred native) Its dusty and hot constantly... but it amazing.

          No trace is a camping and environmental practice. Their is nothing mysterious about it... you leave nothing behind not a cigarett but, not a fake eyelash. It means being very conscientious about what you have with you.

          This trip takes an incredible amount of planning.
