My main thing with clubwear type boots is that the playa tends to eat the zippers. I had a great pair of Hot Topic-y boots last year that died on the niht of the burn. So, i guess I got a few days wear out of them (I alternated with a different pair, and some sneakers). Have others had this problem?

I don't mind my boots being playified, but how do you keep zippers from being destroyed? Laces can be such a hassle becasue they just start eating your hands once your hands are all dry.

Plus, I'm rangering this year so I'll be walking **a lot** and really don't want my feet to hurt. I was thinking Army surplus, but everyone's giving me shit about that, like have you heard how much soldiers complain about thier boots? But really, they have to wear them in the desert 24/7 the boots must be sturdy . . . and fairly comfy. Um . . . right? Or am i totally naive?
